Description

hh this is my entry for the Bitaur MYO contest!
I think this is the first MYO contest I've ever entered |D
this species is too presh though, so I was inspired enough to give it a go.
I'm glad I managed to catch it before it was too late~

I was going to do a back view to show off his fabulous mane, but I didn't think I'd have time to finish hhh
I hope this is okay. If I've made any mistakes that don't fit with the species/contest guidelines etc, please let me know.

Bitaurs are an ancient race of beings with origins so shrouded in mystery and legend that battles are still fought about it to this day.
They live in a world heavily inspired by both medieval and victorian era elements, driven by both technological advances and magic.
Magic is incredibly core to their being, while no one group of bitaur can agree on where it came from, they can all agree their lives are driven by it.
Contest Information
For this contest you can design a bitaur with any number of common and uncommon traits, and up to one rare trait.
★ You can design accessories and outfits for your bitaur within keeping of the world theme.
(so please, nothing super modern. But have fun with fantasy themes!)
★ These can be as many images as you'd like. If you want to build a full ref sheet, or make one simple image, it's up

Name: Birahk
Pronoun: He/him, male
Age: Mid 40's
Height: 6'10"

Traits:
horns, tail (common)
coloured sclera (uncommon)
very long drop ears (rare)

Physical:
Birahk is a tall, beefy, powerful Bitaur. His wide chest and shoulders are very pronounced, and a thick mane gathers around his neck which stretches up onto his forehead and also down to the base of his tail. The fullest part is tied back into braids and several matted dreadlocks, both of which are usually decorated with a wide array of beads and rings. His mane thins as it goes down his spine, but is generally tied back out of the way into a plait. Alongside them, his super long ears trail down almost to his waist. Birahk sometimes lightly ties them together with vines to keep them out of the way when he is working. Along with his hair beads, Birahk is also fond of piercings and other accessories. He enjoys the look of rings in his nose, ears, eyebrows, and just about anywhere else he manages to push metal through his skin. His accessories can change from day to day, whenever he discovers a new fashion item he wishes to sport.

Personality:
Birahk is a beast of a Bitaur. He is very confident and self-assured in his strength and capability, yet isn't particularly cocky or ready to challenge anyone who comes close to his level. He is actually a pretty chilled out, open-minded guy, willing to chitchat to just about everyone on his travels. Though it's much easier to talk to him when he's in a good mood. Whilst it takes a lot to drive him to anger, Birahk can have quite a nasty, violent temper. It's then when he becomes super touchy and intolerant. But apart from that, Birahk enjoys company in small doses. Whilst he works and travels alone, he relishes in blending with other Bitaur in the cities he passes and during his free time.
Birahk's headstrong, zealous attitude works well in driving him to do and get the things he wants, and thrive in his line of work, but it can easily cloud his interlect. He's not the sharpest tool in the shed. He'd rather problem-solve with brute force rather than take time to think things over in fine detail before coming to a decision. He's a kind of Bitaur to get in, do the job, and get out with no time to waste. Though, don't underestimate him, he's not an idiot. c; Just his strength is more in street-smarts rather than book-smarts. He may not know the ins and outs of the universe, nor pay attention to any of the in depth theories of the world's magic, nor be particularly talented in any kind of non-physical skill, but he does have plenty of common sense and exceptional talent when it comes to surviving in the most dangerous, difficult situations. Birahk is always aware of his surroundings and is smart enough to always watch his back in said uncertain situations, and has a sharp-tongue to sweet-talk his way out of things should it prove to be necessary. But his preference is to not get himself into those kind of situations in the first place. Birahk speaks his mind, not caring if his words are insulting or harmful, and will surely tell you how it is. He can be quite selfish and heartless, but it's not exactly because he means to be; he's simply learned to care more about himself unless you prove yourself to be worthy of his attention. He's not afraid to hurt people's feelings or make enemies. If he is to gain an alliance, then he'd rather it be because of mutual respect and pure admiration than be built on a layer of pretense. That said, Birahk can be an amazing ally, should you manage to deal with him. He is super protective over those he cares about, and is very fierce and dangerous. You'd be certain to have a friend who'd never fail to watch your back should you find yourself by Birahk's side.

Occupation:
Birahk is well-known and well-suited in his preferred line of work due to his fearless, brutal attitude; a mercenary and monster-hunter. He travels the world taking on contracts from other Bitaur to rid the land of nuisances and dangerous beasts. He's not hugely fond of the magic in the world, refusing to experiment in his own abilities and turning a blind eye to others who abuse the power, instead preferring to use traditional weapons and forms of physical aggression to take down a threat. Heavy axes are usually Birahk's weapon of choice.
